More and more, pitches are starting to need more advanced elements than just style frames or moodboards. For this particular project, I was tasked with making loops of a hairy S that resembled a particularly fuzzy character from a particularly well-known film series. This was a lot of fun to whip out it only 2 days, a great example of how quick and easy it can be to work with C4D and make pretty decent results. Having said that, the one […]
This was one of those projects that was a spur of the moment thing. While I finished it a few months ago, I haven’t had time to write about it let alone make a breakdown video. But during the winter holidays I got around to making breakdown videos for this, as well as Pudge. A few months ago I decided to take a few days off work to make a personal project with the following criteria: Used an aspect/area […]
I was recently involved in a project that requires me to: do a 3D Geometry scan, collect that data and use it to solve a 3D Geometry Matchmove, develop “pads” that would protrude and slide out of skin, and also make animated pads that had the slow fluttering of butterflies and run them through a particle system. All of that in basically a week! While I’ve still yet to make some composited stills, here’s some test renders, R&D, and a […]
The latest video we’ve done for LG revolves around pranks again, something that I have no problem with. In this one, the lifelike colors of LG’s new IPS monitors are put to the test: an elevator is hijacked and the floor is replaced with a grid of these IPS monitors. Unsuspecting people walk in and get surprised when the floor beneath their feet collapses and reveals the elevator shaft. I did the edit as well as all the 3D.
After taking a month-long trip, it was nice to come back to a light and fun project. SuperHeroes was asked to make an iPad & iPhone app for Comedy Central’s Roast series. The concept was to have a voodoo doll with whoever the roastee is pasted on its face. As the show progresses, tweets are posted around the needles, and there are two interactive animated states: Burn, and Cool-Down (there are also other animated states, but those are transitions). The […]
