Some keys I modeled, lit and textured for a project that didn’t take off. It’s a shame, really, since they key was textured to look good up close (think macro) – little bumps and metal imperfections all around without distracting the eye from the actual object.

The modeling was pretty straightforward; the material was a mix of colors and a cocktail of bump and displacement maps for details. Throw in some carefully positioned lights, an HDRI map for both reflection and GI lighting, and bam: a nice render of metallic surfaces.
