Brilliant Rhombi

As part of a bigger project I needed to make a diamond. The modeling was the easiest part, the trick was making the shader material.

After researching Index of Refraction, Photons, and my first attempt at Caustics, this was the outcome.

Minor note: the top image was rendered using Global Illumination, the bottom one wasn’t. Can’t really tell a difference, except for render times (20 mins vs an hour and a half).
