Bertje

05/28/2013 by Fred Huergo

To celebrate the birthday of Shop Around‘s very own Bert, I made an icon/character version of him. Longish hair, beard and mustache plus the iconic ziggy stardust zap = Bert (at least for me). Fredrik Dejert helped out w ith the sound design.

A fish called Bop

04/02/2013 by Fred Huergo

Spent part of Sunday and Monday (bank holidays ftw) figuring out C4D’s sculpting tools. Taking a cue from a reddit user freda42, I made this fish who I’ve named Bop.

Circus Tent: WIP

04/02/2013 by Fred Huergo

This is a render of one of the elements for a short animation that will eventually get finished – it’s one of those backburners. In any case, here’s one part of the environment.

De Pijp

12/13/2012 by Fred Huergo

A location-inspired render: De Pijp neighborhood, here in Amsterdam. De Pijp is dutch for The Pipe – it also happens to be the neighborhood that SuperHeroes HQ is at. Throw a bit of Duchamp mixed with some of this trendy low-poly style and you get this neighborhood:

11/30/2012 by Fred Huergo

Another in a series of adaptations Sarah and I are calling His & Hers. The general gist is this: we exchange illustrations/renders, and then other has to do a version of it. We bring you Tinny, our little toy bird. His: Hers:

Bubble Prawn

10/14/2012 by Fred Huergo

Got bored waiting for a render from After Effects, so made a quick render using particles with a Tracer Object + Sweep Nurbs to make these bubbly/tentacle/shrimp-balloon looking things. Then just add water.

After taking a month-long trip, it was nice to come back to a light and fun project. SuperHeroes was asked to make an iPad & iPhone app for Comedy Central’s Roast series. The concept was to have a voodoo doll with whoever the roastee is pasted on its face.
